Why Orders May Not Appear When Logging In with Shop PayUpdated 2 months ago
We’ve noticed a few more messages lately that go something like: “Where is my order? I logged in, but I don’t see anything.”
First things first—take a deep breath. 💛 Your order is almost certainly safe and sound. What’s usually happening is a simple email mix-up.
Let’s walk through it together.
The Short Version
Your order history is connected to the email address used at checkout, not automatically to Shop Pay.
If the email tied to your Shop Pay account is different from the one you used on our previous site (or for past orders), those orders won’t appear when you log in with Shop Pay.
Different email = different account.
It can look alarming—but it’s just a login mismatch.
How This Happens
Here’s the most common situation we’re seeing:
You placed orders on our prior site using Email A.
Later, you checked out or logged in with Shop Pay using Email B.
When you log in with Shop Pay, you’re viewing the account connected to Email B.
Since the emails don’t match, the past orders under Email A won’t show up— even though they absolutely still exist in our system.
Nothing disappeared. It’s simply attached to a different email address.
Important to Know
Logging in with Shop Pay does not automatically merge accounts.
Shop Pay accesses the account connected to the email saved in Shop Pay—not your historical login.
This can make it look like your order is missing, when it’s just living under another email.
How to Find Your Order
Here are a few quick steps to try:
Log out completely.
Log back in using the email address you originally used to place the order (not Shop Pay).
Check your order confirmation email to see which email was used at checkout.
